Betty Ford: An Extraordinary Life

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan, invites you to experience it’s newest exhibit, Betty Ford: An Extraordinary Life. Opened on October 27, 2010, the exhibit continues through February 27, 2011 and is dedicated to more than just Betty Ford’s time as First Lady.

Pulling from its strengths, Betty Ford: An Extraordinary Life will feature those items that speak to Mrs. Ford’s unique life – from her Grand Rapids upbringing to a career in fashion and dance, a congressman’s wife, First Lady of the land, to helping millions with breast cancer awareness and overcoming for herself and helping others defeat chemical dependency.

Susan Ford Bales, daughter of President and Mrs. Ford, opened the exhibit, recalling her time in The White House and also touching on the many areas that helped her mother become one of our nation’s greatest First Ladies.
