Wreath Laying Ceremony held at the Tomb of President Gerald R. Ford

In commemoration of the 96th birthday of President Gerald R. Ford, individual wreaths from President Barak Obama and from Mrs. Betty Ford and the Ford family were placed at President Ford’s Tomb on the grounds of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan during a ceremony earlier today.

Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens Named 2009 Recipient of the Gerald R. Ford Medal for Distinguished Public Service

Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has been selected as the recipient of the 2009 Gerald R. Ford Medal for Distinguished Public Service. The medal was presented by Jack Ford, Chairman of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and son of former President Ford at the annual dinner of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation on June 1, 2009 at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC.

Joseph Calvaruso Named Executive Director, Gerald R. Ford Foundation

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation announced the selection of Joseph Calvaruso, to the position of Executive Director of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation.

In making the announcement, Jack Ford, Chairman of the Foundation and son of former President Ford stated “we are pleased to have found someone with a combination of leadership and administrative experience that allows the Foundation to build on our organization’s already sound and vibrant base”.

Ford Family Wreath Placed at Burial Site

December 18, 2008
Grand Rapids, Mich… The family of former President Gerald R. Ford will have a Christmas wreath placed at the Ford Burial site on the grounds of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.  The wreath will remain at the burial site through Sunday, December 28, 2008.  President Ford passed away December 26, 2006.

The State Bar of Michigan gave posthumous recognition to President Ford with a Resolution of Tribute at their Annual Meeting

Unveiling of the President Gerald R. Ford Commemorative Stamp

GRAND RAPIDS–The 41-cent commemorative stamp will be issued nationwide August 31, with special stamp dedication ceremonies taking place in Rancho Mirage, Calif., and at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “Throughout his more than three decades of public service, Gerald Ford gave so much to this Nation,” said Postmaster General John E. Potter.
